Open Plan Contemporary Family Kitchen

A large extension was added to the rear of this property we recently worked on in Worcester to create an open plan contemporary kitchen, dining and living area to accommodate all the family (3 young children and a dog). The kitchen is made in Germany by Pronorm and features ultramatte handleless doors in dark grey with pocket doors and Silestone quartz work surfaces in Callacatta Gold. There is a large dining table and the kitchen island has seating for all the family too. The living space is separate enough to remain cosy whilst staying connected to the kitchen for true open plan living. The flooring is Karndean Pale Limed Oak laid in a herringbone pattern and there is practical utility room with a shower we created especially for the dog.

A Sociable Open Space

Adding bi-fold doors to the back of the property was key to opening up the kitchen space at this beautiful property we worked on in Knowle, Solihull. It made the garden more easily accessible and allowed more light in to the room to create a more sociable, open space. The kitchen units are painted in 2 shades of grey, from our Signature In Frame Shaker Range by Mereway. A pantry cupboard, with drawers for pans and cookware, sits behind the island and the cabinets either side conceal the fridge and freezer. The worktop is one of our favourites, Silestone Calacatta Gold. The existing kitchen we replaced didn’t have an island, so we incorporated a large central island which has given the kitchen a much better flow, all the essentials are within easy reach and you can chat to guests at the table while enjoying views out to the garden.

The Watermill - In Frame Painted Shaker Kitchen

This beautiful property we worked on was once a working watermill. We installed our Signature In Frame shaker kitchen, painted in blue and grey, with Silestone worktops and a large kitchen island with double butler sink and separate dining table for up to 12 people.

Dark Grey ultra matt handleless kitchen with pocket doors

Mr & Mrs Stock visited our Solihull showroom with some ideas for their kitchen but wanted professional design advice and inspiration. Our designer Kirstie guided them through the whole process from initial design ideas to completion. They decided on a beautiful ultra matt door in dark grey. Paired with a light Silestone Quartz worktop the result is stunning. We included 2 sets of pocket doors so everything could be hidden away when not in use. One serves as a rather lovely drinks area and the other is great as a larder cupboard for food.  The kitchen island has a sleek induction hob which is easy to clean and provides lots of space for food prep.

Stylish, accessible open-plan kitchen and dining area

Mrs Mould was recommended to us by her interior designer, she wanted to create a kitchen and dining area that was truly practical and would give her back her freedom. But she didn’t want that to mean any compromise on the aesthetics. Trying to navigate around her house in a wheelchair was proving frustrating, but the last thing she wanted was a home that was all function without the style. Our talented kitchen designer, Cathy Davis, was given the task of designing a space which was both accessible and gorgeous.

Handleless kitchen with bar area

Mr & Mrs White visited our Solihull showroom and were looking for a true handleless kitchen with a mixture of white and Tobacco oak tones. Kirstie from our design team was able to help them with their choices and design a space which was practical and stylish too. Mrs White does a lot of cooking, often for large groups of people, so the kitchen had to accommodate 4 ovens and warming drawers as well as a tall fridge and tall freezer. The resulting design is simple and sleek, in a beautiful understated door style. The addition of the matching fireplace and bar area brings the design together to create a beautiful open plan space.

Light green painted in frame kitchen and dining area

Mr and Mrs Copeman visited our Worcester showroom looking for kitchen inspiration. They decided on an elegant light green colour palette for a modern, laid-back aesthetic. The kitchen island incorporated a wine cooler and open shelving to add style and personality to the space. The oak shelving is simple and adds charm and warmth to the kitchen area.

Open Plan Grey and White Handleless Kitchen

Mr and Mrs Hassan of Dorridge, Solihull, were having a large extension at the back of their home in order to create an open plan family kitchen dining area. They visited us with architects plans and we worked with their ideas to create a light and airy kitchen space with casual dining and a stunning central kitchen island. The island is finished with dark grey doors and a crisp white Corian worksurface to create a striking statement. The kitchen was complimented with black Miele appliances and an Elica designer ceiling hood.

Stunning White Matt Kitchen Extension

Mr and Mrs James visited our Solihull showroom with architect’s plans for a large extension at the back of their home in Solihull. Like lots of our customers they faced the dilemma ‘move or improve’ as they wanted more space for all the family. They used Intervention Architecture in Birmingham and were advised to have a pitched roof with a large flat-roof lantern to give the extension a more contemporary feel. Our designer Ranjit designed the kitchen and helped them choose a contemporary handleless style, White Matt from our Futura collection with Silestone Blanco Maple quartz work surfaces and Siemens appliances.

Bespoke Painted In Frame Kitchen + Study & Bedroom

Mr and Mrs Silvey from Pershore visited our Redditch and Worcester showrooms with architects plans and kitchen ideas for their wonderful new home. We designed and installed the kitchen, master bedroom and study. Mrs Silvey had specific colours in mind from the outset and our master painter hand painted the kitchen after installation. We particularly like the striking red for the kitchen island, paired with pale grey cabinets, Dekton worktops and an Everhot oven, the results are simply stunning.

Open Plan Handleless White Gloss Kitchen

We recently fitted this lovely kitchen in Solihull. The customer chose handleless gloss white from our Futura collection, and paired it with Silestone worktops and Siemens appliances for an elegant contemporary style.   There is a structural pillar in the centre of the room which determined how the kitchen could be designed. The designer incorporated the striking U-shape island to get the best use of the space.

There is a wealth of worktop space for food preparation and the hob and sink are in easy reach to make cooking a pleasure. It also provides a great space for entertaining; the breakfast bar extends from the island meaning guests and family can sit and relax but still engage with whoever is cooking.
